Meghan has been out a surgery awhile now and is just getting settled into her room on 7 South (her old stomping grounds). The surgery went very well and they were able to remove the spot (pea-sized) along with a good margin surrounding it from her left lung. We won't receive the results of the pathology testing until Monday. Currently Meghan's pain is very manageable as they gave her an epidural along with a morphine pump. She has a chest tube for drainage and this will be in for probably 2 days at which time they will try taking her off the epidural and switch over to oral pain meds. For those interested, the technical terminology for the surgery she had is a left thoracotomy with resection of the left lower lobe nodule - say that 5 times really fast :)! For today we are limiting visitors to immediate family, but we'll let people know if she feels up to more than that tomorrow. Please continue to pray that she can recover quickly and with minimal pain. Pray for patience as we wait for the pathology results. Above all, please pray that we continue to trust in the Lord and His perfect sovereign plan.
Know that we are praying for your family!!

I woke up last night at 4am and couldn't sleep and used that time to pray for your family. Thanks for the update.
